The story

From Médoc to the Mid Coast.

Frenchy grew up on the south-west coast of France and started surf lessons at 14. He trained through good waves, bad waves and properly miserable weather—because progression cannot depend on perfect conditions.

He began coaching in 2010, moved to Australia, met his wife and fell in love with the Adelaide Mid Coast. Since then, he has coached surfers from first green waves to state-level performance.

Frenchy Surf School is deliberately small. The goal is not to pack people into the water. It is to give each surfer useful attention, build better ocean decisions and make progress feel clear.

Coaching philosophy

Make the next change obvious.

Surfing is complex. Coaching does not need to sound complex to be useful.

Safety creates confidence

A surfer learns faster when the spot, group and challenge fit their real ability.

One priority beats ten tips

The clearest correction is the one a surfer can remember while paddling for the next wave.

Fun keeps people learning

Progress matters, but nobody needs a military debrief after every wobble. We surf because it feels bloody good.
